Benjamin R. Jablonksi was born on November 27, 1917. He served in the US Air Corps as a Second Lieutenant and Pilot a C-47B aircraft during World War II. On May 5, 1945 he was killed in the crash of C-47B 43-48869 in China. He is now buried in the Calvary Cemetery , Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, USA. Benjamin was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
