Bennett F. Love was born on April 11, 1918. He was the son of John Benton Love and Emma Frances Bennett Love. He died as the result of a plane crash in India while serving with the India-China Division of the Air Transport Command, 1327th AAF Unit. His name is commemorated on the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. He also has a cenotaph located in Eastview Memorial Park, Vernon, Wilbarger County, Texas. Bennett was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
