Machine gunner of the B-24 Liberator �Sunon Square Dance� which took off from Tibenham in the UK to bomb the south of Creil. It was shot down by flak at 1917. From Altoona, Pennsylvania. Killed in the crash along with 3 other crewmembers. Four crewmembers escaped and two were taken prisoner.
