Malcolm M. Medlen was born on January 14, 1919. He served in the 308th Bombardment Group as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. Malcolm was Killed in Action on April 8, 1944 at the age of 25 while flying aboard B-25D 43-3290 and is now buried in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hugo, Choctaw County, Oklahoma, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
