Walter S. Myers entered the military service in California. He served in the 22nd Bombardment Squadron, 341st Bombardment Group, Medium as a First Lieutenant and Co-Pilot of an aircraft during World War II. He was declared "Missing in Action" on February 4, 1946 and is commemorated on the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. 1Lt Myers was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
