Howard D. Mastin was born on March 2, 1896. He served in the Advanced Ordnance department of 1st Infantry Division as a Corporal during World War I. Howard died of influenza in France on October 21, 1918 at the age of 22 and is now buried in the Ulysses Cemetery, Ulysses, Potter County, Pennsylvania, USA.
