Seymour Schipior was born on July 23, 1924 in New York. He was the radio operator on B-24D #42-41253 with the 1390th Air Force Base Unit. The plane crashed into a mountain twenty miles east-northeast of Mokokchung, India. All four men aboard were killed. PFC Schipior is now buried in the Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, Nassau County, New York, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
