Harold K. Searle, Jr. was born on November 2, 1919. He resided in Massachusetts prior to the war. Harold served as a First Lieutenant and Pilot on B-25D #41-30555, 11th Bomber Squadron, 341st Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

Harold was "Killed In Action" when his B-25 crashed in China during the war. 1Lt Searle is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
