Clarence Mann Argyle was born on November 19, 1895 in Woods Cross, Davis County, Utah. He was the son of Thomas Holroyd Argyle and Lavinia Mann Mann Argyle. Clarence enlisted in the Quartermaster Corps Dec 8, 1917 and left Salt Lake for Camp Joseph E. Johnson, Fla. on Dec 13, 1917. May 1, 1918 he came home on a two month furlough and soon after his return was assigned to overseas duty, arriving there Aug 29, 1918. At the time of his death, he had been there about seven weeks, during which time his parents had for some unknown reason received but two letters from him. Clarence died on October 15, 1918 of bronchial pneumonia. He is now buried in the Bountiful Memorial Park, Bountiful, Davis County, Utah, USA.
