William E. Spells was born on December 21, 1921. He served in the 425th Bomber Squadron, 308th Bomber Group as a Technical Sergeant and an Engineer of an aircraft during World War II. He died on August 24, 1943 at the age of 21 and is now buried in the New Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, Bolivar County, Mississippi, USA. Tsgt Spells was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
