Elmer F. Wang, Jr. was born on was born on July 12, 1923 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He served in the 1330th Army Air Force Base Unit as a Private and Radio Operator of an aircraft during World War II. He was declared "Missing in Action" on February 27, 1945 and is commemorated on the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. Pvt Wang was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
