Thomas H. Hawksworth was born on March 28, 1895 in Portage, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of George C. Hawksworth and Margaret A. Adams Hawksworth. He served in the 1st Anti-Aircraft Battery as a Private during World War I. Pvt Hawksworth died on November 7, 1918 in France at the age of 23 and is now buried in the St. Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt, France.
