Henry R. Farris was born on December 3, 1921. He served in the 76th Fighter Squadron, 23rd Fighter Group as a First Lieutenant during World War II. He died on April 29, 1944 at the age of 22 and is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA. 1Lt Farris was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
