Harry Glide entered the military service in Washington. He served in the 375th Bomber Squadron, 308th Bomber Group, Heavy as a Private First Class during World War II. He was declared "Missing in Action" on July 17, 1943 and is commemorated on the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. PFC Glide was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
