Howard L. Krippner, Jr. entered the military service in Washington. He served in the 76th Fighter Squadron, 23rd Fighter Group as a Captain during World War II. He was declared "Missing in Action" on August 27, 1943 and is commemorated on the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. CPT Krippner was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
