Henry David Moore was born on August 21, 1895 in Lavaca, Sebastian County, Arkansas. He was the son of Franklin Nimrod Moore and Mary Ellender Pope Elliott. Henry served in the 141st Field Artillery Regiment, 39th Division as a Private during World War I. He died on August 8, 1918 in Is Sur Tille, France at the age of 22 and is now buried in the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA.
