Caesar D. Todisco was born on November 22, 1918 in Kings County (Brooklyn), New York. He left February 1943, and had been stationed in China since that time. He served in the 16th Fighter Squadron as a First Lieutenant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on February 18, 1944 in China at the age of 25 and is now buried in the Saint John Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens County, New York, USA. 1Lt Todisco was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
