Douglas C. Weaver was born on May 19, 1918. He was the son of Harry Elwood Weaver and Nora R. Weaver. He was a B-25 pilot assigned to the 11th Bomber Squadron, 341st Bomber Group, Medium during World War II. He was Killed in Action on May 8, 1943 in China and is now buried in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay, St. Louis County, Missouri, USA in a common grave with his crew. He also has a cenotaph located in Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg, Montgomery County, Ohio, USA. CPT Weaver was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
