Born in 1902, from Altoona, PA. Mortally wounded when he was accidentally shot by French fireman Jean David at the Pont de Saint Cloud (the bridge over the Seine River at St Cloud, France, just west of Paris) on 25 Aug 44 while part of the advanced party of Patton's Army. He was repatriated to the US and died of his wounds in 1946. Survived by his wife Geraldine.
