Nicholas A. Angelos was born on August 15, 1916. He enlisted in the Army on May 12, 1943 in Boston, Massachusetts. Nicholas was one of the Greek-American volunteers who served in Company C, 2671 Special Reconnaissance Battalion, an OSS operational group. This "Greek Battalion" aided the Greek armed resistance in 1944 in their fight against the occupying and then withdrawing German Army. He died on November 22, 1992 at the age of 76 and is now buried in the Peoples Cemetery, Chatham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, USA.
