Dionisios Fotinatos was born in 1912. He enlisted in the Army on October 12, 1942 in New York. Dionisios was one of the Greek-American volunteers who served in Company C, 2671 Special Reconnaissance Battalion, an OSS operational group. This "Greek Battalion" aided the Greek armed resistance in 1944 in their fight against the occupying and then withdrawing German Army.
