Harry G. Kontos was born on February 10, 1917. He enlisted in the Army on May 31, 1943 in New York. Harry was a volunteer with ties to Greece that assisted the OSS Greek Operational group in 1944 as they aided the Greek armed resistance in their fight against the occupying and then withdrawing German Army. He died on November 5, 1987 at the age of 70 and is now buried in the Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, Suffolk County, New York, USA.
