John P. Minogianis was born in 1914. He enlisted in the Army on April 13, 1943 in New York. John was one of the Greek-American volunteers who served in Company C, 2671 Special Reconnaissance Battalion, an OSS operational group. This "Greek Battalion" aided the Greek armed resistance in 1944 in their fight against the occupying and then withdrawing German Army.
