Pete G. Paidas was born in 1920. He enlisted in the Army on November 23, 1942 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Pete was one of the Greek-American volunteers who served in Company C, 2671 Special Reconnaissance Battalion, an OSS operational group. This "Greek Battalion" aided the Greek armed resistance in 1944 in their fight against the occupying and then withdrawing German Army.
