Arris Petropoulos Poulos was born on September 3, 1918. He enlisted in the Army on June 27, 1943 in New York. Arris was one of the Greek-American volunteers who served in Company C, 2671 Special Reconnaissance Battalion, an OSS operational group. This "Greek Battalion" aided the Greek armed resistance in 1944 in their fight against the occupying and then withdrawing German Army. He died on December 15, 1994 at the age of 76 and is now buried in the Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, Santa Fe County, New Mexico, USA.
