Albert F. "Al" Button was born in Illinois. He was the son of Albert Thomas Button and Francis Maria Duffy Button. Pvt. Button died of disease in 1918 while serving with Co. B of the 13th Machine Gun Battalion, 5th Infantry Division in WWI in France. He is now buried in the Evergreen Cemetery and Mausoleum, Evergreen Park, Cook County, Illinois, USA.
