Paul Siapicas was born on June 30, 1921. He enlisted in the Army on October 16, 1942 in New York. Paul was one of the Greek-American volunteers who served in Company C, 2671 Special Reconnaissance Battalion, an OSS operational group. This "Greek Battalion" aided the Greek armed resistance in 1944 in their fight against the occupying and then withdrawing German Army. He died on March 4, 2009 at the age of 87 and is now buried in the Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Riverside County, California, USA.
