William J. Spiropoulos was born on March 2, 1922. He was a volunteer with ties to Greece that assisted the OSS Greek Operational group in 1944 as they aided the Greek armed resistance in their fight against the occupying and then withdrawing German Army. William died on June 1, 1989 at the age of 67 and is now buried in the Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, USA.
