Wallace Hubert "Hubert" Groom was born in July 1896 in Carroll County, Tennessee. He was the son of David Alfred Groom and Elizabeth Frances Paralee Smith Groom. Wallace served in the US military as a Private during World War I. He died in France on September 12, 1918, at the age of 22, cause by pneumonia and is now buried in the Hebron Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee, USA.
