Clinton Clair Stevenson was born on August 22, 1894 in Rouseville, Venango County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Lewis Napoleon Stevenson and Dora Blanche Hanna Stevenson. Clinton served in the 148th Machine Gun Battalion as a Private during World War I. He died of pneumonia on September 14, 1918 in Is Sur Tille, France at the age of 24 and is now buried in the Rynd Farm Cemetery, Rouseville, Venango County, Pennsylvania, USA.
