Pasquale A. Calabrese was born on March 9, 1919. He served in the 407th Bomber Squadron, 92nd Bomb Group as a Sergeant during World War II. SGT Calabrese was the tail gunner on B-17 42-31921 "Lil’ Brat", which on April 24, 1944 headed to Dubendorf, Switzerland for a target mission. They were shot down by an enemy aircraft and crashed to Baltenswil, near Munich and scrapped. He was Killed in Action and was temporarily buried in what was then the American Cemetery in Münsingen, Switzerland. He is now buried in the Saint Charles Cemetery, East Farmingdale, Suffolk County, New York, USA.
