Henri I. Beall served in the 311th Ferry Squadron, 27th Air Transport Group as a Major during World War II. He was a passenger on the B-26C #41-34893 aircraft that crashed shortly after take-off due to the mechanical failure of an engine on a local flight on March 4, 1944. He was buried first in the Lisnabreeny Former American Military Cemetery in England. The cemetery closed in 1948 and his remains were exhumed and transferred. He is buried now somewhere in Georgia.
