Arthur D. Hill, Jr. was born on September 9, 1918, to Arthur and Freida Hill, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on August 10, 1940 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Arthur served as a Technician 4th Grade in the 8th Signal Company, Signal Corps, United States Army during World War II. He died in Belfast, Northern Ireland on February 18, 1944 and was buried first in the Lisnabreeny Former American Military Cemetery in England. The cemetery closed in 1948 and his remains were exhumed and transferred. He is buried now in the Gettysburg National Cemetery, Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania, USA.
