Bernard McLaughlin was born on September 9, 1920. He served in the 81st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Armored Division as a Sergeant during World War II. He died on July 13, 1942, at the age of 42, and was buried first in the Lisnabreeny Former American Military Cemetery in England. The cemetery closed in 1948 and his remains were exhumed and transferred. SGT McLaughlin is buried now in the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California, USA.
