Glenn Robert Young was born on April 25, 1922 in Corbin, Kentucky. He was the son of Thomas Franklin Young and Myrtle V. Young. He served in the 3rd Air Base Depot as a First Lieutenant during World War II. 1LT Young died on June 19, 1945, at the age of 23, and was buried first in the Lisnabreeny Former American Military Cemetery in England. The cemetery closed in 1948 and his remains were exhumed and transferred. He is buried now in the Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, United Kingdom.
