George S. Palmer was born on September 11, 1918. He served in the 379th Fighter Squadron, 362nd Fighter Group as a Lieutenant during World War II. On July 16, 1943, he lost control of his P-47 and dove into the ground just off end of the runway at Bradley Field, killing him. He is now buried in the Claquato Cemetery, Chehalis, Lewis County, Washington, USA.
