John K. McMahon was born on March 17, 1923. He was the son of Hugh David McMahon and Helen Magdaline Martin McMahon. He served in the 379th Fighter Squadron, 362nd Fighter Group as a First Lieutenant during World War II. 1LT McMahon was killed in Germany after a flak smashed into his P-47D and crashed. He is now buried in the Corpus Christi Cemetery, Fort Dodge, Webster County, Iowa, USA.
