He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a meatcutter and also as Single, without dependents.

Frank served as a Staff Sergeant on B-26B #41-31848, 553rd Bomber Squadron, 386th Bomber Group, Medium, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was declared "Missing In Action" when his B-26, having been damaged on a bombing mission, crashed into the English Channel.
