David Finley McCleskey was born on May 27, 1917, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. He was the son of George H. McCleskey and Annie W. Winston McCleskey. He served in the 554th Bomb Squadron, 386th Bomber Group, Medium as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. SSgt McCleskey died on March 9, 1945, at the age of 27, and is now buried in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, USA.
