Daniel Bodge was a 23-year-old marine from England who served aboard the merchant ship Harlequin. During the War of 1812, he was captured and held as a prisoner of war at Dartmoor Prison in Princetown, England. Bodge died on January 16, 1815, with peripneumonia recorded as his cause of death. He was buried at the American Prisoner of War Cemetery in Dartmoor Forest, Devon, England.
