Edward P. Freeburger was born on July 13, 1922. He resided in Harford County, Maryland prior to the war.

Edward served as a First Lieutenant & Pilot on P-51B #43-6460, 335th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was "Killed In Action" when his P-51 was shot down by German Fighters and crashed while escorting a bomber mission over Germany.

1Lt Freeburger was originally interred in France and was later repatriated on January 18, 1949. He is now buried in the Baltimore National Cemetery, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Maryland, USA.
