Frederick D. Hall was born in 1923, in New York. He was the son of Floyd T. Hall and Ruth B. McMeans Hall. He served in the 336th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, as a Second Lieutenant and pilot of the P-51D-10-NA #44-14533 VF-N, during World War II.

On January 16, 1945, his group diverted to alternate fields upon return from mission due to weather. His plane crashed when attempting to land near Folkestone, England. 2Lt Hall is now buried in the Coopers Plains Cemetery, Coopers Plains, Steuben County, New York, USA.
