Harry Bernard Noon was born on June 14, 1922, in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. He was the son of John A. Noon and Myrtle E Trotcky Noon. Harry was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School. He enlisted in the Army Air Forces on January 6, 1943, after attending Butler University for two years.

Harry served in the 334th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, as a Second Lieutenant in World War II. On June 11, 1944, he took off from Station 356 in Debden, England, aboard P-51 Mustang, type B-5-NA, #43-6586 QP*U, in an armed reconnaissance mission in northern France. His aircraft was hit by flak then exploded upon touching the ground at 13:30 with its two bombs of 250 pounds. The airplane crashed northeast of Villedieu-Les-Poêles, France.

2Lt Noon is now buried in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, USA.
