Nicholas W. Vozzy was born on January 10, 1922, in Abington, Pennsylvania. He was married to Ave L Little Rawdon.

Nicholas served in the 335th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, as a Second Lieutenant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 17, 1944, in P-51 Mustang #43-6841, in Bocholt, Germany. That day, his section was attacked over Holland, and he was shot down by an Fw-190. Vozzy was either wounded or killed in the initial attack, as he did not exit the stricken aircraft.

2Lt Vozzy is now buried in the Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupré, Belgium.
