Comments:

Robert H. Seifert was born in 1920 in Albany, New York. He served in the 336th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, as a Second Lieutenant during World War II.

He was declared "Missing in Action" on 15 April 1944 when his aircraft (P51 Mustang #43-6818) was lost when the squadron was recalled in cloud cover over the Channel. Heard to call ‘Mayday,’ but contact was lost and never regained. A protracted search of the area by Lt. McGrattan and ASR launch turned up nothing.

2Lt Seifert is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, United Kingdom.
