Wallace Edgar Doss was born on March 16, 1923. He was the son of Charles Nelson Doss and Eva H. Doss. He served in the 41st Armored Infantry Regiment, 2nd Armored Division, as a Technician 5th Grade during World War II. He died on September 16, 1944, and is now buried in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Clifton Forge, Alleghany County, Virginia, USA. T5 Doss was one of the 65 soldiers killed in battle during the liberation of the Limburg region of the Netherlands and Belgium.
