Anthony J. Ivone was born on June 13, 1918. He was the son of Philip Ivone and Lena Ivone.

Anthony served in the 41st Armored Infantry Regiment, 2nd Armored Division, as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He died on September 16, 1944, at the age of 26, and is now buried in the Saint John Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens County, New York, USA. SSgt Ivone was one of the 65 soldiers killed in battle during the liberation of the Limburg region of the Netherlands and Belgium.
