Joseph V. Herrimon was born on September 23, 1921. He served in the US Army as a Technician 5th Grade during World War II. He was killed on December 1, 1944, in the bombardment on the coal mine terrain Julia, during the liberation of Kerkrade-Eygelshoven, The Netherlands. He was killed together with 16 soldiers and one civilian. T/5 Herrimon is now buried in the Walnut Grove Baptist Cemetery, Bolivar, Hardeman County, Tennessee, USA.
