Stephen F. Olenik was born on August 21, 1921. He served in the 633rd Quartermaster Laundry Company as a Technician 5th Grade during World War II. He was killed on December 1, 1944, in the bombardment on the coal mine terrain Julia, during the liberation of Kerkrade-Eygelshoven, The Netherlands. He was killed together with 16 soldiers and one civilian. T/5 Olenik is now buried in the Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio, USA.
