Charles W. Warren entered military service in California. He served in the 633rd Quartermaster Laundry Company as a Technician 5th Grade during World War II. He was killed on December 1, 1944, in the bombardment on the coal mine terrain Julia, during the liberation of Kerkrade-Eygelshoven, The Netherlands. He was killed together with 16 soldiers and one civilian. He is now buried in the Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
